We’re pleased to announce the appointment of Tom Garvey as Chief Executive of Surface Technology International (STI), effective 1 October 2025.
Tom brings more than 25 years of leadership experience across the defence and aerospace sectors, most recently with GKN Aerospace, where he delivered major growth programmes in the UK and the Netherlands. His previous career includes senior roles with TT Electronics plc, Cobham, Thales, and Eaton, establishing a strong record in performance improvement, customer focus, and operational excellence. Alongside this appointment, Tim Hair will move from his role as Chief Restructuring Officer to become Chairman of STI Enterprises Holdings, supporting Tom as STI enters the next phase of growth under Rcapital’s ownership.
