STI is pleased to announce its achievement of the official accreditation from Nadcap – for superior standards in the manufacture of electronics. Nadcap (formerly NADCAP – the National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program) is a worldwide cooperative program comprised of the prime aerospace contractors, designed to ensure the competency, capability and consistency of companies performing “special manufacturing processes”. The Nadcap process and product certification is awarded by the Performance Review Institute (PRI) – the only company approved by the aerospace industry to offer official certification audits.
“We are absolutely committed to providing world-class service to our customers and achieving Nadcap accreditation is a clear demonstration that reaching the highest quality standards is at the core of everything we do,” said Simon Best, Group Managing Director, STI Ltd. “Passing the Nadcap audit is really not easy and demonstrates the strong skill-set of our engineers and the technical team within our operation and their commitment to remaining amongst the leaders in our industry.”
Chris Lyon, STI Chief Operating Officer, added: “Unlike the AS9100 Rev C standard, which addresses quality management systems, the Nadcap accreditation is specifically focused on ensuring systems are in place to control processes along with procedural compliance. These audits are performed by acknowledged industry experts in their field. It further underlines the high-degree of technical competencies within our operation, demonstrating our ability to manufacture sophisticated technology at the high levels required by the aerospace and aviation industry. These products have to be super reliable and safe as they must operate under extreme conditions over long periods of time without failure.”
