“Mental” Printed Circuit Boards Reach Capacity!

“Mental” Printed Circuit Boards Reach Capacity!

Surface Technology International Ltd (STI) had sellout entries to its annual Charity Pub Quiz on Friday 30th November and maxed out on its raffle.

As part of the year’s fundraising programme for its 3 nominated charities – St. Michael’s Hospice (local), Cancer Research (National) and SOS Children’s Village (Philippines), STI held its annual Pub Quiz at its local – the Crooked Billet. Landlord Richard Sanders said: “It was a pleasure to open up early and let STI take-over the place – there were 3 very good causes being supported so it was great that we could offer to host the Quiz.”

Nick Davey, Director of Research & Development, was Quiz Master for the night and kept the 13 teams in order and challenged everyone’s mental printed circuit boards to their capacity!  Nick commented: “It was extremely well supported by all staff and the winning team “Well, Well, Well, Well Done” gave their prize money back to the charity pot, which was very generous!”

The added highlight to the Quiz Night was having a brand new Kindle donated to the raffle by one of STI’s main suppliers, Key Industrial Limited, who immediately volunteered their support when they found out from Matty Hernandez, STI Project Purchaser, that a charity event was being held.  Staff got straight into action to sell tickets for the quiz, raising a further £274, to give STI a grand total of £422 for the whole event.

Simon Best, STI Managing Director, funded the half-time snacks for everyone to add fuel for extra brain power!  Alongside suppliers like Key Industrial Limited, it was good to see so many members of staff having fun, getting involved and supporting the charitable causes. All around – it was a great result!” added Nick.
