STI invests heavily in learning, training and development in line with our organizational requirements.


We offer professional/higher vocational training and qualifications and also National Vocational qualifications in Customer service, Team Leading, Warehouse and Distribution and Business improvement techniques.

In June 2009 we received a certificate of commitment in recognition of commitment for investment in staff participation in NVQ's and apprenticeship schemes. We have also made a skills pledge commitment with the learning and skills council.

STI continues to expand its in house IPC training capabilities with a fully operational training facility including trainers in the following disciplines;

• IPC J STD 001: Soldering
• IPC 7711/7721: Rework / repair / modification
• IPC A 610 REV D: Electronic assemblies
• IPC/WHMA-A-620: Cable and wireless harness

With annual membership to IPC, STI also utilises IPC training kits and texts. Our Training Supervisors carry out comprehensive ESD, MSD and component recognition training in conjunction with the above.
