Surface Technology International Ltd (STI) will be exhibiting at the Tokyo International Industry Exhibition 2013 from Wednesday 30 October to Friday 1 November at the Tokyo Big Site (Tokyo International Business Centre), West Halls 1 & 2. This is the first time STI will be exhibiting in the Japanese market arena as a Worldwide Contract Electronics Manufacturer.
The Tokyo International Industry Exhibition is organised by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and STI heard about the event through the “Japan External Trade Organisation” (JETRO). JETRO is a government-related organisation that works to promote mutual trade and investment between Japan and the rest of the world. Originally established in 1958 to promote Japanese exports abroad, JETRO’s core focus in the 21st century has shifted toward promoting foreign direct investment into Japan and helping small to medium sized Japanese firms maximise their global export potential.
“After submitting STI’s application in July to participate in this exhibition, I was delighted to find out that despite the high volume of applications, we had been invited to attend.” said Martin Gower-Smith, STI’s International Business Development Manager. “STI has been focused on exploring new global markets and this exhibition offers us the perfect opportunity to explore entry to the Japanese market. The support we have received for attending this International Exhibition has been superb to enable us to attend and overcome any language barriers! Whilst we are at the exhibition I will have a translator for all my meetings and equally I do have some commercial airtime – again, with translation support – so every available business opportunity will be capitalised on. This is an important step for STI UK and also building business for our factory in the Philippines”.
STI UK is highly regarded in its current markets as a quality Contract Electronic Manufacturer (CEM) and operates to high standards and quality levels. Moving into the worldwide market and establishing a factory in Asia (in the Philippines), STI has mirrored this standard and can now offers its new and existing customers manufacturing solutions across the globe depending on their budgeting and supply requirement.
