Surface Technology International has been awarded the prestigious Nadcap Merit status for Electronic Circuit Card Assembly.
The Nadcap merit program exists to reward superior performance in Nadcap audits. The audit is a stringent process designed to highlight members of the aerospace supply chain with outstanding quality and engineering processes. Entry into the merit program represents an industry-wide recognition for top class suppliers.
STI has held Nadcap accreditation since 2015 having demonstrated their ongoing commitment to quality by satisfying customer requirements and industry specifications, the Nadcap Task Group has determined that STI has now earned special recognition.
“Achieving Nadcap accreditation is not easy: it is one of the ways in which the aerospace industry identifies those who excel at manufacturing quality product through superior special processes. Companies such as STI go above and beyond achieving Nadcap accreditation to obtain Merit status and they should be justifiably proud of it,” said Joe Pinto, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at the Performance Review Institute. “Benefitting from a less frequent audit schedule reduces audit costs and associated pressures and demonstrates the trust that the aerospace industry has in STI, based on their past performance in Nadcap audits. PRI is proud to support continual improvement in the aerospace industry by helping companies such as STI be successful and we look forward to continuing to assist the industry moving forward.”
Simon Best, STI Managing Director praised employees for their efforts in achieving Nadcap merit status. He announced, “We are proud to have achieved a merit status within the approval process. As one of the leading UK PCB manufacturer to the aerospace and defence industries, merit status demonstrates the ongoing commitment of the company and its people to the highest standards of reliability and quality in our product and our passion to satisfy stringent customer requirements. This achievement required the focused effort of our technical and quality staff, as well as the commitment of our leaders and operators. They had to understand the demands of a Nadcap-accredited system and to work closely together to prepare for the audit and maintain their contribution to the quality management system year round.”
We are proud to share this achievement with our customers and the industry.
