STI Recycling Report October - December 2009

Each quarter, independent waste management company Specialist Waste Recycling provides us with a report verifying how successful we have been with our recycling. Here's our report from the last quarter:

Results:

Recycling 6076kg of waste material has saved 4494kg of carbon when compared with obtaining the same amount of virgin material.

4494kg of carbon over 3 months is the equivalent of either:

• Neutralising 4.5 cars or
• The carbon footprint of 1.8 average British people or
• Heating 12.9 houses

3400kg of paper and cardboard has been recycled which is the equivalent of 82 trees.
