STI has a dedicated Training department headed by a Training Manager and staffed with two fully qualified IPC and J-Standard Trainers who are equipped to handle the training and ongoing development of our staff in our purpose built training school.

We regularly run successful trainee and apprenticeship programmes providing either in house training or external training through local colleges to provide a structured learning and development programme for those seeking a career in electronics.

There are also active NVQ assessment schemes to provide staff with accreditation for skills acquired in team leading, warehousing and distribution, lean manufacturing and business administration.

In certain cases support is provided towards technical and professional qualifications and other programmes are offered to develop a variety of skills to benefit the individual and organisation.

We adopt a creative approach to career progression, responding to people’s aspirations whenever possible and providing cross training where needed. Vacancies are advertised internally and where possible we promote from within the organisation.
